Project Overview
Tributon is an app whose main objective is to facilitate the way in which users pay their taxes.
What Problem I am solving and why?
Everyone knows that paying taxes is usually a tedious task, this was described in several interviews with users.

That's why we decided to develop an application that allows, through the upload of invoices and artificial intelligence, to record them and send them to operators who are in charge of doing this work for all users.
Challenges
In order to solve this need, several challenges must be completed. Among the main ones were the following:

- Provide confidence to users in all senses both in UI and in a good section of terms and conditions of service, as well as the necessary material so that the user can know the basic terms for their taxes.

- An easy and effective way to upload invoices to make it a quick process

- A simple registration for users.
For a simpler way of working, the pages of figma were also prepared by features of the app
Brainstorms & Competitive Analysis
In the first phase I was in charge of directing brainstorm sessions to devise solutions to the challenges.

So far, there were no comparable offers, so my research applied to products from the field of taxes, and the target group of people with business.

The creation of competitive profiles (in terms of marketing strategy, target market, core business, usability, layout, navigation structure, compatibility, content, design and performance) together with SWOT analysis helped to assess current offers in this area.
Also, general advantages and disadvantages of helping people with them taxes was an important part of the research.
User Journeys & Flows
The sitemap informed the user’s journey we designed. My team (developers, a product manager and myself) captured different flows for each of the four groups of main users we discovered during the sessions we attended in-person. Afterwards, we were able to pinpoint exactly where in the user’s journey needed improvement and developed mockups accordingly.

Designing the Experience
I tested the mockups using a combination of:

Internal critics for initial feedback.

Maze for immediate feedback on smaller features and to play the role of "volunteer"

Real users to test a complete tour of the application

It seems to me that making mockups too simple will not generate the best user feedback, but on the other hand. I also made sure the copy was consistent and robust to keep communication clear for testers.
Dashboard Experience
The project also has a dashboard where it is necessary for operators to have an easy way to approve and reject invoices, I was in charge of carrying out all the steps in the simplest way and giving them all the necessary tools.
User Testings & Final Results
The released version of the app has been well received by our customers. However, there are still improvements that can be made. The terms & condition section should include more clausules and the way how users upload the invoices has to improve also.

Unfortunately, one of our main challenges is the lack of resources and time that we have day to day, as like most startups, we’re stretched quite thin! With this challenge, we often have to reiterate our designs in order to be achievable within time and technical constraints, while still providing more value to our users.
